How to delete your account from the app
Follow these steps to request account deletion:
- 1Open the LetZDance app on your device.
- 2Go to Preferences / Account in the menu.
- 3Select Delete account.
- 4Read the deletion information carefully and confirm your request.
Once you confirm deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period before permanent deletion.
What happens during the 30-day grace period
Your account deletion request is not immediate. Here's what happens during the grace period:
- Scheduled for deletion: your account is marked for deletion but not yet removed.
- Can still sign in: you can log in to your account during this period.
- Cancel anytime: you can cancel the deletion request if you change your mind.
- Permanent after 30 days: after the grace period ends, deletion becomes permanent and cannot be reversed.
Simply log back into the app during the 30-day period to cancel the deletion request and restore your account.
What data is permanently deleted after 30 days
When the 30-day period expires and you have not cancelled the request, we permanently delete:
- Profile information: name, surname, email address, and profile picture (if any).
- Authentication data: login credentials and authentication tokens.
- Account records: your student or school admin account in LetZDance.
- Event data: tickets, bookings, and attendance history.
- Communications: messages and personal data stored in the app.
- Payment methods: saved payment information and preferences.
After the 30-day grace period, your account and data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Data we may still retain
For legal and regulatory compliance, we may keep limited information even after account deletion:
- Payment records: basic transaction records processed via Stripe for accounting purposes.
- Legal compliance: information required by law for fraud prevention and regulatory compliance.
- Aggregated data: anonymous, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you personally.
Important: this retained information is kept only for as long as legally necessary and is not used to create a profile or contact you once your account is deleted.
Special considerations for school admins
If you are a school admin with active events and ticket sales:
Before deleting your account, ensure you have fulfilled all commitments to students who purchased tickets to your events. LetZDance is not responsible for refunds or disputes after your account is deleted.
We recommend:
- Completing or cancelling all scheduled events.
- Processing any pending refunds.
- Settling outstanding payments through Stripe.
- Informing your students of your account closure.
Alternative: temporarily deactivate your account
Not ready for permanent deletion? You can temporarily deactivate your account instead.
Your account will be hidden but not deleted. Contact our support team at support@letzdance.org to request temporary account deactivation.
Benefits of deactivation:
- Your data remains intact and can be restored.
- You can reactivate your account at any time.
- Useful if you're taking a break but may return.
Can't access the app?
If you no longer have access to your LetZDance account or the app, you can request account deletion by contacting us:

When contacting us by email, please write from the same email address you used for your LetZDance account so we can verify your identity.
Your data protection rights
Under GDPR and other data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: request deletion of your data (as described above).
- Restriction: limit how we process your data.
- Portability: receive your data in a portable format.
- Objection: object to certain types of data processing.
